The boys' soccer team suffered their first rainout of the year last Wednesday when they were slated to host Chatham Charter - that match is now scheduled for a 4:00 matinee on October 25 at WakeMed Soccer Park.  Despite the 8-day layoff following the long weekend, the Raptors (7-2, 1-0 CTHC) looked sharp in front of a huge Homecoming crowd on Friday night, dispatching Thales Academy 5-0 behind a shutout in goal by Chandler Frye and two goals by Travis Barker; Nathan LaFauci, Bennett Hudson, and Asher Wexler also scored in the victory.

The volleyball team fell short in two CTHC matches - a 3-0 decision on the road against Chatham Central on Tuesday, and a 3-1 loss at home to Chatham Charter.  Senior libero continues to lead RTHS (2-8, 0-4 CTHC) in nearly every offensive category with 24 kills and 33 aces on the year.

In other sports, the girls' tennis team faced the two strongest teams in the Central Tar Heel, dropping two 9-0 matches to Chatham Charter and Raleigh Charter.  The girls' golf team competed on Thursday at a non-conference match hosted by East Wake Academy.  Junior Ameliya Boston turned in a 59 to lead RTHS.  The first CTHC cross country match of the year, which was to be hosted by RTHS, was rained out on Wednesday.

Monday - vs. Thales Academy (5-5) - 6pm, Hope Valley Gym
Raptors lead the all-time series 9-0; RTHS won 3-1 in the last meeting, 8/29/17
